The Program trains environmental scientists at the undergraduate, graduate, and professional levels using ongoing projects as "real life" classrooms. In addition, through a number of citizen-based water quality monitoring programs, a significant number of local citizens of varying educational backgrounds and ages are directly involved in the evaluation and protection of their coastal water quality.
